The Annual RES Conference is our flagship event to which we welcome over 600 participants. In 2026, this not-to-be-missed event was kindly hosted by the Economics Department at the University of Newcastle,  the RES Conference’s first visit to this vibrant city.

The conference offered opportunities to present research and develop networks with fellow economists across academic, government, private and third sector organisations. We had a great programme of traditional keynote lectures, special sessions and general sessions alongside fringe events such as masterclasses, professional development and social events.
